WHO CAN APPLY?
1. a minimum of an aggregate of fifty either within the Bachelor’s and/or within the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity. BE or BTech with specialization in Science and arithmetic with 55% aggregate or the other qualification equivalent thereto,
and
2. the subsequent categories are eligible to be students of B.Ed. (ODL):
i. Trained in-service teachers in education.
ii. Candidates who have done an NCTE acknowledged the teacher education program through face-to-face mode.
iii· Reservation & relaxation of 50 marks in minimum eligibility will be provided to SC, ST, OBC (Noncreamy layer), PWD candidates as per the rules of the Government of India.
iv· Reservation to Kashmiri Migrants and widow candidates are going to be provided as per the University Rules.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The B.Ed. program of IGNOU has been designed to develop an understanding of the teaching-learning process at the secondary and senior-secondary level among student teachers. It concentrates on enabling student-teachers to express correctly on the approach of education and merge completely the thought and practices to ease the active engagement of learners for knowledge creation.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The B.Ed. program focuses on:
- Enhancing an understanding of the factors/environment of education in modern Indian Society,
- appreciating the role of environment/plan and socio-political realities about learners in facilitating learning in inclusive settings,
- creating sensitivity about language diversity within the classroom and its role within the teaching-learning process
- developing an understanding of paradigm shift in conceptualizing disciplinary knowledge within the school curriculum,
- identifying, challenging and overcoming gender inequalities in class, classroom, curricula, textbook, social institutions, etc.,
- enabling student-teachers to accumulate necessary competencies for organizing learning experiences,
- developing competencies among student-teachers to pick and use appropriate assessment strategies for facilitating learning,
- engaging student-teachers with self, child, community, and faculty to determine close connections between different curricular areas,
- enabling student-teachers to integrate and apply ICT in facilitating the teaching-learning process and in-class management,
- categorizing experiences and build up the professional competencies of student teachers, and
- providing first-hand experience of all the varsity activities through engaging student-teachers as interns in secondary/senior secondary schools.
ADMISSION
Admission shall be done supported the score obtained within the entrance test conducted by IGNOU everywhere India.
The candidate is going to be required to submit the filled-in form with self-attested copies of documents as laid out in the Entrance-cum-Admission Form. the first documents are to be submitted later for verification, after receiving a suggestion letter for admission.
ENTRANCE TEST
The doorway Test is going to be persisted the date mentioned in the advertisement. Hall tickets are going to be uploaded on the IGNOU website; www.ignou.ac.in for appearing within the Entrance Test.
Mere allowing candidates to require Entrance Test wouldn't amount to acceptance of their eligibility for admission to B.Ed. the ultimate admission to the program shall be subject to their rank within the merit list within the Entrance Test and production of proof of their eligibility at the time of the last date of submission of application for admission to the B.Ed. program along with original certificates and program fees.
The number of seats of every PSC is limited to 50 only. The university reserves the right to conduct the exam at different centers and can change the examination centre of the candidates without assigning any reason
Program Fee
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed. program is suggested to not pay the fee alongside the filled-in form. They're going to get separate communication about their admission and payment of the fee.
The program fee should be paid only by way of Demand Draft drawn in favor of IGNOU payable at the town where your Regional Centre is situated. Please write in capital letters your name and therefore the program to which admission is sought, i.e., B.Ed., on the rear of the Demand Draft to make sure proper credit of your fee to the relevant account.
