BEL Recruitment 2023 : Application Fee
For General, OBC, and EWS category candidates applying for the position of Trainee Engineer, the application fee is Rs. 150/- plus 18% GST.
Similarly, for General, OBC, and EWS category candidates applying for the position of Project Engineer, the application fee is Rs. 400/- plus 18% GST.
Application fee is exempted for candidates from SC, ST, and PwBD categories.

BEL Recruitment 2023 : Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification :
Project Engineer-I : B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc (4-year course) Engineering degree in relevant discipline from recognized University / Institution / College with 55% and above for General/EWS/OBC candidates & Pass Class for PwBD/SC/ST Candidates. Also, candidates should possess minimum ‘Two years’ of relevant industrial experience.
Trainee Engineer-I : B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc (4-year Course) Engineering degree in relevant discipline from recognized University/ College /Institution with 55% and above for General/ EWS/OBC candidates & Pass Class for PwBD/ SC/ST Candidates.
Age Limit :
The upper age limit for the position of Project Engineer-I should not exceed 32 years for General and EWS candidates, as of 01.04.2023.
For the post of Trainee Engineer-I, the maximum age should be 28 years for General and EWS candidates, as of the same date.
However, candidates belonging to the OBC category will be eligible for a relaxation of up to 3 years in the upper age limit, while SC/ST candidates can avail of a relaxation of up to 5 years.
Additionally, individuals with a minimum of 40% disability under the PwBD category can avail of a relaxation of 10 years in addition to the relaxation applicable to their respective category.
BEL Recruitment 2023 : Selection Process
- Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria specified in the advertisement. Those who qualify will be invited for a written test worth 85 marks, and successful candidates will be shortlisted for an interview worth 15 marks. Both the written test and interview will take place in Bengaluru.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their written test marks (out of 85 marks) in order of merit in a 1 : 5 ratio.
Candidates will receive intimation about the written test and interview through the email ID they provide. They must follow the instructions given in the mail. BEL shall not be liable for any undelivered or bounced back emails or any other communication that the candidate may miss or fail to receive.
