BPSC 68th CCE Main Exam 2023 : New Syllabus
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued a fresh syllabus and question pattern for the BPSC 68th Mains Exam 2023. It is recommended that candidates review the updated BPSC Syllabus to become acquainted with the new exam pattern and devise their preparation plan accordingly. In this segment, we are presenting the new BPSC 68th Mains Syllabus and examination pattern.
The candidates who successfully clear the Prelims stage of the BPSC Examination will be qualified for the BPSC Mains Exam. The number of candidates chosen for the Mains stage will be roughly ten times the overall number of vacancies.
- The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will be conducting the 68th BPSC Mains Exam in 2023. The exam will consist of four papers, which include General Hindi (Qualifying Paper), General Studies Paper 1 (300 marks), General Studies Paper 2 (300 marks), and an Optional Subject (300 marks). Each paper will be for a duration of three hours.
- The BPSC Syllabus for General Hindi includes Essay (30 marks), Grammar (30 marks), Syntax (25 marks), and Precis/Summary (15 marks). However, the marks obtained in the Hindi paper will not be counted towards the overall merit, and it is only a qualifying paper with a minimum passing score of 30 marks out of 100.
General Studies Paper 1 :
- Covers various topics such as Indian Culture, Modern History of India, Contemporary events of national and international importance, and Statistical Analysis, diagrams, and graphs.
- This paper aims to test the candidate’s understanding of the culture and history of India and its contemporary events, as well as their ability to analyze data and interpret graphs.
General Studies Paper 2 :
- Covers topics such as Indian (and Bihar) Polity, Indian (and Bihar) Economy, Indian (and Bihar) Geography, and the Role and impact of Science and Technology in the development of India (and Bihar).
- This paper aims to assess the candidate’s knowledge of the Indian polity, economy, and geography, as well as the influence of science and technology in the development of India and Bihar.
BPSC 68th CCE Main Exam 2023 : Optional Subjects
In BPSC Mains, candidates must choose one optional subject from a list of 34 options. The exam for the optional subject carries 300 marks, and the questions will be based on an honours level (3-year course in Patna University).
