Education Qualification:

Minimum Qualifications for Becoming a Teacher for Classes I to V:

  • Candidates should have passed senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 percent marks and passed or appeared in the final year of a 2-year diploma in elementary education.

Minimum Qualifications for Becoming a Teacher for Classes VI to VIII:



  • Candidates should have completed graduation with at least 50 percent marks and passed or appeared in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).

Age Limit:

  • According to the official notification, there is no age limit fixed for applying for the CTET Exam 2023.

Examination Fee: 

Only Paper I or II:

  • General/OBC (NCL): Rs. 1000/-
  • SC/ST/Differently Abled Person: Rs. 500/-
  • Payment Mode: Online Net Banking

Both Paper I and II:

  • General/OBC (NCL): Rs. 1200/-
  • SC/ST/Differently Abled Person: Rs. 600/-
  • Payment Mode: Online Net Banking
