About Post :

The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), has issued a notification for the admission to Graduate Aptitude Test Biotechnology/ Biotechnology Eligibility Test (GAT-B/ BET-B) 2023. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are interested in the notification details can read the notification and apply online.

To apply for the GAT-B/BET-B 2023, interested candidates must meet the eligibility criteria and fill out the online application form provided by the Department of Biotechnology’s Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB).

Application Fee

  • The organizers for GAT-B 2022/BET 2023 charge an application fee of
  • Rs. 1200/- General(UR)/OBC NCL/EWS
  • Rs. 600/-  SC/ST/PwD. For GAT-B & BET (Both) 2023,
  • General(UR)/OBC NCL/EWS is Rs. 2400/- and for
  • SC/ST/PwD, it is Rs. 1200/-.
  • Payment for the application can be made through Net-Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI/Wallet.

Important Date

  • The online application can be applied starting from March 10th, 2023.
  • Applicants must complete the online application and fee payment by 5:00 PM on March 31st, 2023.
  • The window for correcting application details will be open on April 3rd and 4th, 2023.
  • The date for downloading the admit card from the NTA website will be announced later.
  • The examination will take place on April 23rd, 2023.

Age Limit

  • The organization sets an age limit of up to 28 years,
  • And rules allow for age relaxation.

Qualification

  • Candidates should posses B.E./ B.Tech., B. Pharmacy, MCA, B.Sc, M.B.B.S., B.A.M.S. /B.H.M.S, B.V.Sc, Master’s degree (Relevant Disciplines).

Courses through GAT -B/ BET B

  • Participating institutions/universities in India offer admission to DBT supported Post Graduate programmes in Biotechnology & allied areas. The DBT supported Post Graduate programmes comprise M.Sc. Biotechnology & allied areas, M.Tech. Biotechnology & allied areas, M.Sc. Agricultural Biotechnology, and M.V. Sc. Animal Biotechnology.

Q.1 What are the eligibility requirements for GAT B 2023?

Ans: Applicants must possess a B.Tech/BE degree in the relevant field from the participating university with a minimum aggregate of 60% (for General, EWS & OBC categories) or 55% (for SC, ST & PwD categories).



Q.2 What is the maximum number of attempts allowed for GAT?

Ans: NTS™ administers the test three times annually, and each candidate is allowed a maximum of three attempts to pass. Those who are awaiting their results are ineligible to apply.
