DSSSB Recruitment Notification 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
Music teachers:
- Candidates must have completed their B.A. Degree in Music.
Trained Graduate Teachers:
- Candidates must have a qualification certificate of Graduate with B.Ed. and a two-year course of Diploma or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.
Publicity Assistant:
- Candidates must have completed their graduate degree with a postgraduate subject of Hindi or English and a Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication/Advertising and Public Relations with Experience in 2 years.
Photographers:
- Candidates must have completed their 10th or 12th grade with a certificate of Diploma in photography, cinematography, or videography or equivalent.
Laboratory Assistant:
- Candidates must have completed their graduate degree in science with chemistry and at least 3 years of experience.
Surveillance workers:
- Candidates must have completed their matriculation, preferably with a science subject, and be a Sanitary Inspector of a Diploma Course or Malaria Inspector.
Senior Scientific Assistant (Biology):
- Candidates must have a qualification certificate of a Master’s degree in Zoology, Botany, Anthropology, Human Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Forensic Science with Zoology, Botany, or Forensic Science as one of the subjects at B.Sc. with Experience in 2 years.
Senior Scientific Assistant (Ballistics):
- Candidates must have earned a Master’s Degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Forensic Science with Physics, Mathematics, or Forensic Science as one of the subjects at B.Sc. with Experience in 2 years.
Laboratory Assistant (Photo):
- Candidates must have a qualification certificate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Science.
Laboratory Assistant (Ballistics):
- Candidates must have completed their B.Sc. with Physics or Mathematics.
Scientific Assistant (Biology):
- Candidates must have a qualification certificate for a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Zoology, Botany, Anthropology, Human Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Forensic Science with Zoology or Botany as one of the subjects.
Laboratory Assistant (Biology):

Lab Assistant (Gr. IV):
- Candidates must have a qualification certificate of Matriculation, Hr. Sec., or Sr. Sec. (10 plus 2) with Science + Diploma in Medical Laboratory Techniques (OR) 10+2 Vocational Courses in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT).
Assistant (OT/CSSD):
- Candidates must have a qualification certificate of Graduate in Science with Operation Room Assistant course.
Technician (OT/CSSD):
- Candidates must have completed their Graduate in Science and Operation Room Assistant course with 5 years of experience.
Audiometric assistants:
- Candidates must have completed their graduate degree in science with a diploma.
Technical Assistant (OT/CSSD):
- Candidates must have a qualification certificate of Graduate in Science with Operation Room Assistant Course with 5 years of experience.
Assistant Security Officer:
- Candidates must have a qualification certificate of 10th grade, with Ex-Servicemen having 5 years’ active defense service.
Refractionists:
- Candidates must have a qualification certificate of graduate in science with a diploma.
Occupational Therapists:
- F.Sc./Premedical HR Sec. Diploma in science.
Radiographers:
- Candidates must have a qualification certificate of 10th or 12th grade in science with a 2-year certificate of radiography, B.Sc., diploma, or radiological technology.
Speech therapists:
- Graduate in Speech Therapy or Pathology with Speech Therapy Experience in 2 years.
Assistant Dietician:
- Candidates must have a qualification certificate of B.Sc. and P.G. Diploma in Dietics with 2 years of working experience from any Recognized hospital.
Physiotherapists:
- F.Sc., Pre-Medical, or HR Sec. with Science and Diploma in Physiotherapy
Assistant Grade III:
- Degree with Knowledge of Computer Operation, including complete knowledge of MS Office
Junior PA (English):
- Graduate from any Recognized University with a speed of 80 WPM in Shorthand and 40 WPM in Typewriting in English. You Should be computer literate and capable of working on MS Word and MS Excel.
Statistical Assistant:
- Postgraduate Degree in Statistics, Operational Research, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics (OR) Postgraduate Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or Commerce (with statistics as one of the subjects).
PGT (Agriculture): Male:
- Master’s Degree in the subject concerned + Degree or Diploma in Training or Education
PGT (Fine Arts/PPainting):
- Female: Bachelor in Fine Art (OR) Higher Secondary, Intermediate, or Senior School Certificate Exam with a minimum of 5 years of full-time diploma in Fine Art, Painting, Drawing, and Painting Graduate with Drawing and Painting as one of the subjects with a minimum 4 year (full-time) diploma. Master’s Degree in Fine Art/DDrawing and Painting with a minimum of 2 years of full-time diploma
(Graphics):PGT Male
- Bachelor in Fine Art (with Graphic Specialization) (OR) Higher Secondary, Intermediate, or Senior School Certificate Examination with a minimum 5-year (full-time) diploma in Painting or Commercial Art with graphics as one of the subjects.
PGT (Sanskrit):
- Master’s Degree with Diploma in Training or Education
EVGC:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology with a Diploma in Guidance and Counseling
PGT (English):
- Master’s Degree in the subject concerned (English) with a Degree or Diploma in Training or Education
TGT (Computer Science):
- B.Sc. Computer Science, BCA, or Bachelor of Information Technology, Graduate in any subject with Mathematics and 3 years Diploma in Computer Engineering, IT Graduate Degree in any subject with Mathematics and one year of diploma in computer.
Homeopathic Compounder:
- Matric or its equivalent with 2 years experience as a homeopathic pharmacist or dispensary in a government or private homeopathic hospital or dispensary. For Speech therapists: Candidates age limit is between 18 and 30 years.
Age Limit:
- PGT, EVGC: Candidates age limit not more than 36 years.
- Music Teachers: Candidates age limit is not more than 32 years.
- Publicity Assistant, Photographer, Technical Assistant, Homeopathic Compounder, Assistant Grade III, Junior Personal Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Technician (OT/CSSD), Radiographer: Candidates age limit is between 18 and 27 years.
- Surveillance workers, Audiometric assistants, Refractionists, Occupational therapists, Assistant dieticians, and physiotherapists: Candidates age limit is between 18 and 32 years.
- Assistant Security Officer: Candidates age limit is between 18 and 37 years.
Selection Procedure:
- Computer Based Test.

Salary Details:
- PGT and EVGC: Rs. 47600–151100/- (Level 8).
- TGT, Music Teacher: Rs. 44900–142400/- (Level 7).
- Senior Scientific Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Assistant Dietician, Physiotherapist, and Statistical Assistant: Rs. 35400–112400/- (Level 6).
- Laboratory Assistants, Technicians (OT/CSSD), and Radiographers: Rs. 25500–81100/- (Level 4).
- Surveillance workers: Rs. 21700–69100/- (Level 3).
Cutoff Marks:
- For General and EWS Candidates, they must qualify with 40% marks.
- For OBC Candidates, they must qualify with 35% marks.
- For SC, ST, and PH (PwD) Candidates, they must qualify with 30% marks.
- 5% Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen
