Application Fee : Candidates who wish to apply for the Staff Car Driver position are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. The fee can be paid in the form of an Indian Postal Order (IPO) or a UCR (Unified Challan Receipt) receipt that can be obtained from any post office. The IPO/UCR receipt should be enclosed along with the application form as proof of payment of the fee. However, candidates belonging to the SC/ST and women categories are exempted from paying the application fee and can apply for the position without having to pay any fee.
Educational Qualification : The educational qualification required for the position of Staff Car Driver includes possession of a valid driving license for both light and heavy motor vehicles, familiarity with motor mechanism, and at least three years of experience in driving such vehicles. Additionally, candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board or institute. It is desirable that candidates possess three years of prior service as a Home Guard or Civil Volunteer.
Age Limit : The age limit for candidates applying for the Staff Car Driver position as of March 31, 2023, is between 18 and 27 years. However, there is relaxation in the age limit for candidates belonging to certain categories, including SC/ST, who are granted a relaxation of five years, OBC, who are granted a relaxation of three years, and ex-servicemen, who are granted a relaxation of three years. This means that candidates belonging to these categories may apply for the position even if they exceed the upper age limit by the stipulated number of years.
