NLC India Limited (NLCIL) is seeking applications from skilled candidates with Diplomas and Degrees for various Mining Statutory positions (Group C posts) at its Lignite/Coal Mines situated in Neyveli (Tamil Nadu), Barsingsar Project (Rajasthan), and Talabira-II & III OCP Project (Odisha). This advertisement, numbered 12/2022, was released last year. The NLC has decided to reopen this advertisement in March 2023, and online registration will be available from 1st March to 10th March 2023.

The educational qualifications required for NLC recruitment are as follows:

Junior Overman:

  • Diploma in Mining or Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • A certificate of competency as an Overman issued by DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017, or any other mining certificate that allows working as an Overman under Coal Mines Regulation 2017, is considered valid.

Junior Surveyor:

  • Diploma in Mining or Mining Engineering or Diploma in Mine Surveying or Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or NTC in Surveying.

Sirdar:



  • Degree or Diploma in any subject other than Mining Engineering.
  • Certificate of Competency in Mining Sirdar issued by DGMS.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate or Diploma in Mining with Overman Competency Certificate and Valid First Aid Certificate.

NLC Recruitment 2023: Eligibility criteria

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their application online through NLC’s application portal starting from 1st March 2023. Candidates are required to upload self-attested copies of essential documents such as Photograph, Signature, AADHAR Card, Mark Sheets, etc. while filling the online application form. The deadline for submission of online applications is 10/03/2023 till 5:00 PM.

NLC India Limited is seeking online applications from eligible candidates who hold Graduation/Diploma and have passed during 2020/2021/2022, for a one-year Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973 in various subjects/fields.
