Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Store Keeper-II: Candidates must have at least completed 12th grade and have one year of store management experience.
- Engine Driver: Matric or equivalent, or 10th-grade pass with an engine driver certificate.
- Civilian Motor Transport Driver: Candidates must at least pass matriculation or the 10th grade. A valid driving licence and at least two years of driving experience to operate both large and light motor vehicles with knowledge of motor mechanisms.
- Fork Lift Operator: Certificate from an ITI in the relevant trade with at least one year of practical experience (OR) three years of experience in the trade for which there is no ITI training course and must have a licence to drive a heavy vehicle.
- Sheet Metal Worker (Skilled): Candidates must have a 10th-grade pass or equivalent, which is required for a skilled sheet metal worker, and must have completed apprenticeship training.
- For Unskilled Labourers: Candidates must have a 10th pass or its equivalent certificate from recognized boards. And an ITI certificate with three years of experience in relevant trade.
- Motor Transport Fitter: Candidates must have at least a matriculation or equivalent certificate with two years of experience in automobile workshops.
Age Limit:
- Shopkeeper-II Post: The minimum age limit is 18, while the maximum age is 25 years.
- For other posts, the minimum age limit is 18 and the maximum age is 27.
- The age relaxation for OBC candidates is 3 years in the maximum age limit, while for SC or ST candidates it is 5 years.
- Also, age relaxation is applicable for government servants up to 5 years old in the maximum age limit as per the order issued by the central government.
Selection Process:
- Scrutiny of Applications: All applications received from candidates will be reviewed in accordance with the eligibility requirements and required documents, and the admit cards will be sent to the candidates who have been shortlisted for the group C document verification and written test for the Coast Guard in Kolkata.
- Document Verification: All the selected candidates undergo the document verification process. Candidates have to bring their original documents along with a Xerox of the same documents as per the instructions given on the admit card.
- Written Examination: Candidates who are selected have to undergo a group C written examination based on the prescribed qualifications for the posts. The examination will consist of 80 objective-type questions with one mark for each correct answer. The duration of the examination is 2 hours, and there will be no negative marks available for wrong answers.
Salary Details:
- The salary for Store Keeper-II is ₹ 19,900/- (Level 2).
- For an engine driver, the salary is ₹ 25,500/- (Level 4).
- For Civilian MT Driver (Ordinary Cadre), it is ₹ 19,900/- (Level 2).
- The starting salary for a forklift operator is 19,900/- (Level 2).
- For Sheet Metal Workers (Skilled) or Carpenters is ₹ 19,900/- (Level 2).
- For Unskilled laborers is ₹ 18,000/- (Level 1).
- For MT Fitter, it is ₹ 19,900/- (Level-2) as per the 7th pay commission.
