Awards and Honours:

There are different types of awards which are given by Indian government. Those are,

 1. Dronacharya Award:

This Award was established by the Indian Government and initiated in 1985 year. It holds cash price of 5 lakhs, one Dronacharya bronze statue and a scroll. This award is given to the sports coaches who performed extraordinary in coaching the players and outstanding contribution towards sports. The naming convention is same as like Arjuna and Dronacharya. These awards will presented by president of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

 2. Dhyan Chand Award:

This Award was established by the Indian Government and initiated in 2002 year. It holds cash price of 5 lakhs, one ceremonial dress, a figurine and a scroll. This award is given to the sports persons who performed extraordinary in various events.These awards will presented by president of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

 3. Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna:

These Awards were established by the Indian Government and initiated in 1991 year. It holds cash price of 7.5 lakhs, one medal and a scroll. This award is given to the sportsperson who performed extraordinary in various events. Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna is the highest priority award in the sports.These awards will presented by president of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

 4. Arjuna Awards:

These Awards were established by the Indian Government and initiated in 1961 year. It holds cash price of 5 lakhs, one Arjuna bronze statue and a scroll. This award is given to the sportspersons who performed extraordinary in various events. These awards will presented by president of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

 5. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad:

This award will give to the top players in the Inter university tournaments.

 6. Maharaja Ranjit Singh:

This Award was established by the Punjab state Government and given for excellent achievement in the sports.
