CTET stands for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for candidates who aspire to become teachers in schools affiliated with the Central Government (Kendriya Vidyalayas) or schools under the administrative control of Union Territories (UTs) like Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The CTET exam is conducted twice a year in July and December. The exam consists of two papers - Paper I for candidates who wish to teach classes I to V, and Paper II for candidates who wish to teach classes VI to VIII. Both papers have objective-type questions and are conducted in offline mode.
