The Indian Defence Ministry has signed two contracts valued at over Rs 3,700 crore with which entity to boost the operational capabilities of the Indian Air Force?

As part of the ongoing vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the Indian Defence Ministry has recently signed two contracts worth more than Rs 3,700 crore with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) to enhance the operational capabilities of the Indian Air Force under the Buy Indian - IDMM (Indigenously Designed Developed and Manufactured) category.

The first contract, valued at over Rs 2,800 crore, involves the supply of Medium Power Radars (MPR) called 'Arudhra,' designed and developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and to be manufactured by BEL. The second contract, worth around Rs 950 crore, pertains to Radar Warning Receivers (RWR).
