What is the name of the government scheme that has been extended until March 2026?

Due to the pandemic's impact on its implementation, the government has extended the PM-KUSUM scheme until March 2026.

The scheme, launched in 2019, aimed to add 30,800 MW of solar capacity by 2022 with a total central financial support of Rs 34,422 crore, including service charges for implementing agencies.

Minister for New and Renewable Energy, R K Singh, stated in a written reply to the Lok Sabha that the scheme's pace of implementation was significantly affected by COVID-19, and it has been extended until 31.3.2026 based on the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy's third-party evaluation's recommendations.
