Which company or organization received approval from DGCA for indigenously developed ‘black boxes’?

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd has received Indian Technical Standard Order (ITSO) authorization from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for their domestically developed Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) and Flight Data Recorder (FDR), which are commonly known as "black boxes".

The CVR and FDR record essential flight data and audio from the environment, in a crash-resistant memory, to assist in the investigation of aircraft incidents or accidents. To aid in their recovery following an aircraft accident, these recorders are painted orange.
