The GDP growth projection for India in the fiscal year 2023-24 has been revised down by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), reducing it by 20 basis points to 5.9 percent.
The latest estimate is marginally lower than the Reserve Bank of India's forecast of 6.4 percent. Notwithstanding the downward revision, India is still expected to be the fastest-growing major economy globally.
