The first 'Milk Village' of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been declared as the Jerri settlement in Reasi district by the administration. In addition, 57 more dairy farms have been sanctioned for the hamlet under the Integrated Dairy Development Scheme (IDDS). The village comprises 73 individual dairy units with 370 cows, and this initiative will provide financial security to the local farmers.
