The Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan inaugurated a two-day workshop on “Human Factors Engineering in Military Platforms” on March 15 in New Delhi.
The workshop is being organized by the Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), a laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) based in Delhi.
The primary aim of the workshop is to create a policy framework and practices that ensure the scientific implementation of Human Factors Engineering (HFE) in the defence sector.
This initiative will contribute to the vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ by enhancing the indigenous capabilities of the country in the field of defence.
