  • Chandigarh
  • Delhi
  • Ladakh
  • Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Answer- C
The picturesque Yaya Tso, situated at a height of 4,820 metres and renowned for its stunning lake that attracts numerous birds, has been nominated as Ladakh's initial biodiversity heritage site (BHS).

The Biological Diversity Act will officially declare Yaya Tso as Ladakh's first BHS following a resolution by the Biodiversity Management Committee, the Chumathang village panchayat, and the SECURE Himalaya Project.

Following extensive discussions between the stakeholders of the village and the SECURE Himalaya project, the resolution to recognize the high-altitude lake and its catchment as a biodiversity heritage site was approved.
