During the first Border-Gavaskar Trophy game between India and Australia at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, Ravichandran Ashwin claimed his 450th Test wicket by dismissing Alex Carey in the 54th over.
With this achievement, he also surpassed former leg-spinner Anil Kumble to become the fastest Indian to reach this milestone. While Kumble took 93 Tests to reach this landmark, Ashwin achieved it in just 89 Tests.
