Sivasankari is an incredibly prolific writer who has been active for over 50 years. During this time, she has authored an impressive 36 novels, 48 novellas, 150 short stories, 15 travelogues, seven collections of essays, and three biographies, one of which is about the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Her contributions to literature have been widely recognized, and her works have been translated into various Indian languages, as well as English, Japanese, and Ukrainian.
