Bihar Police Recruitment 2023 : Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification :
- By 01.01.2023, all candidates and young individuals are required to have completed their graduation from a recognized university or an equivalent examination recognized by the state, etc.
Age Limit : As(01 – 01- 2023)
- The minimum age limit for the applicants is 20 years.
- The maximum age limit for male candidates belonging to the unreserved category is 37 years.
- While For women candidates, the maximum age limit is 40 years.
- For male and female candidates belonging to BC/EBC categories, the maximum age limit is 40 years.
- For SC/ST (male and female) and third gender candidates, the maximum age limit is 42 years.
- However, age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Bihar Police Recruitment 2023 : Selection Process
First Stage: Preliminary Examination :
- The Preliminary examination will consist of one paper of 200 marks, containing a total of 100 questions, and the duration of the examination will be 2 (two) hours. Questions related to general knowledge and current affairs will be asked in this paper.
- Candidates who score less than 30% marks will be declared unsuccessful for the main examination. Based on the marks obtained in the preliminary examination, the successful candidates will be selected for the main examination, and the number of vacancies reserved for them will be determined according to merit and reservation criteria, multiplied by 20 (twenty) times the number of vacancies.
Second Stage: Main Examination :
- Successful candidates in the Preliminary examination will be given the opportunity to participate in the Main examination. The Main examination comprises two papers.
- The first paper will be a general Hindi paper of 200 marks and a duration of 2 (two) hours, with a total of 400 questions.
