- There are a total of 247 vacant positions available for the post of Head Constable in two categories, which are Radio Operators (RO) and Radio Mechanic (RM).

BSF Recruitment 2023 : Selection Process

Phase 2: PST, PET, and Documentation – Candidates must clear PST/PET and documentation to proceed to the next stage. HC(RO) candidates must also pass Dictation Test and Paragraph Reading Test during this stage.
Phase 3: Medical Examination – Male and female candidates who qualify in the first and second phase can appear in the Detailed Medical Examination, which is valid for one year.
Final Result : The final result will be prepared separately for HC(RO) & HC(RM) based on the marks obtained in OMR and Dictation Test (for HC(RO)) or only OMR Test (for HC(RM)).

BSF Recruitment 2023 : Exam Pattern
- In the OMR based Objective Type exam, 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer to every multiple-choice question worth 2 marks.
