The Indian Navy has released the notification for the recruitment of Sailor MR in the Indian Navy MR Recruitment 2023. The course training will start in December 2023 at INS Chilka, Odisha. As reported, candidates can apply for Indian Navy MR 2023 only online at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in from July 25. There are a total of 200 vacancies for Sailor MR, including a maximum of 40 females. The Indian Navy recruits capable candidates to protect maritime borders and combat threats against India’s interests. Twice a year, the Indian Navy conducts the MR exam for the position of sailor under Matric Recruitment, providing a fantastic opportunity for male applicants who aspire to serve their country.

The selection process for the sailor posts of Chef, Steward, and Sanitary Hygienist consists of three phases. The Indian Navy, in collaboration with the Government of India, first conducts a Computer Based Examination, followed by a Physical Fitness Test. All selected candidates must pass the third and final phase, which is a Medical Examination.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy MR Recruitment 2023:

Before applying for Indian Navy MR Recruitment 2023, candidates should check the eligibility criteria. The Indian Navy requires candidates to fulfill the following criteria for the post:

Candidates must have a birthdate between April 1, 2002, and March 31, 2005.
Candidates must have completed Matriculation (10th Pass) from a Board of School Education approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The minimum height requirement for enlistment in the Navy is 157 cm. Candidates below this height are ineligible for employment, and no medical examination appeal is allowed. Cases discovered during the last medical check at INS Chilka are also included in this protocol.
Selected candidates must meet specific medical standards, including physical and mental requirements, as outlined in the table below.

Navy MR How to Apply

Indian Navy Online Form: Candidates must apply ONLINE ONLY for this entry; manually filled applications will be rejected. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Visit the official website of SSC: www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
  2. Click on “Register now” and fill out the online application form.
  3. Provide your basic details.
  4. Log in using your registration number and password.
  5. Click on the “Apply” link.
  6. Fill in additional details and upload your photo.
  7. Finally, download or print the Indian Navy MR Online Form 2023.

Application Fee

Candidates must pay the examination fee of Rs. 550/- (Rupees Five hundred fifty only) plus 18% GST during the online application process. They can make the payment through online mode using net banking or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI.

Age Limit

The minimum age requirement is 17.5 years, and the maximum age requirement is 21 years. Candidates who have a date of birth between November 1, 2002, and April 30, 2006 (both dates inclusive) will be eligible for this.



Educational Qualification 

Candidates must pass the Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognized by MHRD, Govt. of India.

Pay Scale

The pay scale for Agneepath Bharti Yojana is as follows:

  • In the 1st year, the monthly salary is Rs. 30,000/- (In Hand: Rs. 21,000/-).
  • In the 2nd year, the monthly salary is Rs. 33,000/- (In Hand: Rs. 23,100/-).
  • In the 3rd year, the monthly salary is Rs. 36,500/- (In Hand: Rs. 25,580/-).
  • In the 4th year, the monthly salary is Rs. 40,000/- (In Hand: Rs. 28,000/-).

Male:



  • Height: 157 cm
  • Race: Complete 1.6 Km within 6.30 minutes
  • Uthak Baithak: 20 repetitions
  • Push-Ups: 12 repetitions

Female:

  • Height: 152 cm
  • Race: Complete 1.6 km within 8 minutes
  • Uthak Baithak: 15 repetitions
  • Bent Knee Sit-ups: 10 repetitions
