On 26th April 2023, the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will release a notification for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) for the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

After the UPSC CAPF Result 2023, what comes next?
The Commission will call the shortlisted candidates for Medical and Physical Tests, and they will be required to submit their Detailed Application Form (DAF) before the medical examination. The Online Detailed Application Form will be available on the Commission’s website after the declaration of the Exam Result. Important instructions on how to fill up and submit the DAF ONLINE to the Commission can be found on the website. After the medical examination, PET day will follow.
Candidates are advised to be patient as the medical examination process is time-consuming. Typically, candidates are verified by 3-4 doctors for different body parts. On the first day, an X-ray of the chest area is taken, and heavy smokers may face difficulties here. Blood and urine samples are collected and sent to the lab to test for various parameters like sugar, platelet count, etc. A general full body check-up follows, where a doctor examines the candidate’s whole body, including body parts, major bones, and their shape. Candidates with flat feet and knock-knees may face issues during this exam.
After the general body check-up, candidates undergo an eye check-up, where there are specific standards for myopic and hypermetropic eyes. There is also a provision for re-medical.
