During the 33rd Congress of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held in Manama, Bahrain on February 1.
It was announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) had been awarded the hosting rights for the 2027 Asian Nations Cup.
This will be the first time that KSA will host the tournament since its inception in 1956. KSA's bid was the only one presented at the Congress in Manama, after India withdrew its bid in December 2022.
