Dr Peggy Mohan has been awarded the 'Mathrubhumi Book of The Year' at the fourth edition of Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters (MBIFL 2023).
The award-winning book 'Wanderers, Kings and Merchants' depicts the evolution of language as a result of migrations.
The award includes a cash prize of Rs two lakh and a sculpture, and was presented to Mohan by Nobel Laureate Abdulrazak Gurnah at the concluding event of the four-day festival.
