She is the first woman from Jammu and Kashmir to work for Wildlife SOS and also the first woman in the region to receive this recognition.
Lt. Manoj Sinha presented her with the award during the World Forestry Day celebrations held by the Jammu and Kashmir Collective Forests.
Aliya was acknowledged for her exceptional contributions to wildlife conservation, which involve saving bears in Kashmir, rescuing and releasing wild animals, and providing care for injured animals.
