During the second T20I game between Sri Lanka and New Zealand in Dunedin on April 5th, Kim Cotton made history by becoming the first woman to officiate as an on-field umpire in a full-member men's international match.
Prior to this, Cotton had served as an on-field and TV umpire in 54 women's T20Is and 24 women's ODIs, and had also worked as an official at the women's T20 and ODI World Cups between 2018 and 2023.
