Answer- D
Karthik Subramaniam, a software engineer with Indian roots, has won the top prize in National Geographic's "Pictures of the Year" competition for his photography.
Subramaniam, who resides in San Francisco, California, turned to photography as a hobby in 2020 while confined to his home during the pandemic.
Subramaniam's hard work paid off when he took a photograph of bald eagles vying for a tree branch in Alaska's Chilkat Bald Eagle Sanctuary nearly three years after he started pursuing photography.
His striking image won him the coveted first place prize in National Geographic's "Pictures of the Year" competition, which attracted over 5,000 submissions in four categories (Nature, People, Places, and Animals).
