Let's go with Do's in an interview
There is a well know saying that first impression always makes the best impression. Never let the interviewer give a second thought on you about your appearance.
For Men: Make sure that you prefer perfect formal dress with a perfect suit and tie( in most cases it’s not necessary but when it is mentioned compulsory, then you can prefer the one which is little dark o that of you shirt color).
Make sure that you wear a belt which is exactly having the same color as that of shoes.
When you wear socks, make sure that it not too light colored one on a dark colored pant. Because, when you sit cross legged on a chair on some situation there may be a possibility that your socks look out as an odd man out there.
Prefer very little of perfume on your body which will bring up a pleasant sensibility to your surroundings. The hair style should go on with the formal one. Don’t prefer keeping oil to your head and go for an interview which may at sometime make you look tired and sticky.
For women: There are many perfect formals for women. She can carry herself in a perfect formal shirt and pant or even she can go with a chudidar.
When a formal is preferred, make sure that a mule shoes or little high hilled than regular heel or flat sandals. When a chudidar is preferred then go with some best light colored cotton chudidars. Also make sure that your dupatta should not be falling off. If it so then either pin it or make it stand stiff.
Prefer non disturbing hair style which may distract the attention of interviewer from you to your hair and also prefer no oil to your hair while attending an interview.
Prefer light wear ornament on you even when you wear a formal or you wear a chudidar, present it with small and less ornaments. Prefer some regular nail polish rather than the dark ones.
Out of all these tips, our main aim is to tell only about attire that you are going to prefer for the best look and but it’s your responsibility to identify the type of interview you are going to attend. If it is a dinner interview and you carry yourself with such type of attire or else it will make an odd impression. Depending on the type of interview and also for which type of job you applied for.
2. BODY LANGUAGE:
Body language the second most thing to be considered with highest priority. Either male or female, the way you represent yourself with the body language that speaks is most important in making a good impression to other person.
The best tips to make the interviewer understand more about what you speak is having many ways. Some are your gestures that you use, your facial expressions, the pitch modulation that you carry on in your speech, smile which you will carry on throughout the interview. Firstly, when you fist go inside the cabin, carry yourself so confidently, so stiff and most dynamic way you can.
Try to give a shake hand in the very beginning if you can. It will show up the confidence level you have on you. When you are answering some questions or at some situations try to explain them with hand movements. Always try to focus on the interviewer's face and eyes that makes him not to look at you other than your face and he concentrates on what you are talking.
Always keep a smile on your face when you are going to answer which will make interviewer feel that you are so comfortable from your end.
3. Bandwidth (words per minute i.e., wpm rate):
WPM is the other important thing to be considered while interview. You should keep rate of speech to be varying. Depending upon the topic you are explaining try to change the explanation and word usage rate for your speech. Your reading WPM should be more than that of speaking one. Try some modulation within your speech. Start with some high pitch, then give a gap where you are going to talk about some special content of that topic. Voice modulation is the most important thing in your communication.

There are many points which we don’t think that they are don’ts during interviews but we commit them without knowing. Don’t wear any such type of dresses as salwars, sherwani's or grand sarees and high costumed attire, if you are been to a marriage avoid wearing all heavy dresses during interviews.
Avoid wearing baggy pants, or college style bags, funky hair styles, hard perfumes which will distract the attention and also the opinion on you changes from professional to a non-professional employee appearance.
Avoid having chewing gums in your mouth while attending interviews.
Women can also prefer wearing sarees for interviews. But prefer some cotton sarees or little embroided decent look light colored sarees. Never prefer wearing jeans or leggings to interviews.
Don’t wear dazzy colored dresses or heavy ornaments or heavy makeup or sprays or different types of hair styles.
Don’t be too simple and Don’t be too smart.
2. Don’ts while body language:
As already discussed that body language is more important in communicating the information. But there may be some situations where you miss use your body language.
Never ever shrug your shoulders frequently. This is the habit which will be unknowingly showed up many times. Don’t keep your body hard as if you got some shock or freezed. Let your body set free so that your hands can be easily picked up to gesture on something that you are explaining.
Never show up fingers. Use your complete hand while speaking. Give hand movements according to the topic that you are saying. Keep your legs at one place. Don’t sit cross legged in interview and don’t even shake your legs continuously. Sit straight. Don’t completely lean back or don’t try to lean front completely while explaining some things. Be at 90 degree position and try keep moving your body a little front and back to the normal position. This will show that you are not nervous at your interviewer.
Don’t just stare down towards the table or somewhere else other than to the interviewer. This will show that you are less confident in communicating to the people around you. So keep communicating by looking at the interviewer's face.
Don’t just speak continuously without any facial expressions and excitement from you face. Try expressing the same way how your speaking, same try to express through your face. The expression towards known things, smile before answering and keep a good movement from your face through your correct expressions. Don’t give excitement expression when you are explaining something unknown thing. These all are can be known when you keep talking in front of the mirror, look at you facial expressions then you can identify what is the change that you need to bring up in your expressions.
Never hesitate in asking for pardon and then answer properly of you are unable to hear of something. Don’t be too smart in answering. This can be easily identified by the interviewer. So be as true as you can and try to be smart definitely.
Don’t be too confident that you start shaking his hand after every topic or every correct answer you answer him. Be as yourself, but when the interviewer comes up with shaking hand, then receive it the same way.
3. Don’ts for WPM.
Communicating words clearly in correct word per minute rate is very important.
Don’t carry on yourself with your own high wpm which the interviewer cannot understand or cannot follow your words. Try to maintain a quick gap from one sentence to the other that you want to speak.
When you speak with higher WPM, it looks like you are chanting some slokas, but not exactly you are communicating. Don’t ever try to interrupt the interviewer while he is speaking. Let him complete his speech and then you can start with yours. Don’t be so slow in answering that the interviewer cannot understand what you are speaking. Try to maintain some audible pitch so that the other person can easily understand what you are speaking.
