From 21-30 March 2023, Pune will host the Africa-India Field Training Exercise (AFINDEX 2023), which will span over a period of 10 days.
With the participation of 100 members from 23 African countries such as Botswana, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Zambia, among others, the Africa-India Field Training Exercise (AFINDEX-2023) has commenced.
The exercise is aimed at enhancing interoperability and operational readiness for UN peacekeeping missions, with a particular emphasis on Humanitarian Mine Action and Peacekeeping Operations.
The goal of the exercise is to enhance peace and security, exchange ideas, and promote a collaborative approach to the capacity development of African armies. The primary emphasis of the joint exercise is on tactical drills, procedures, and the ability to operate jointly with seamless interoperability.
