Sheikh declined to run out Ireland's Andy McBrine, who had been accidentally tripped by Kamal Airee, the bowler. The judges also praised the conduct of England's Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes.
The Spirit of Cricket Award was established in 2013 by the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and the BBC to commemorate the memory of Christopher Martin-Jenkins, a former MCC president and BBC Test Match Special commentator who was devoted to promoting the values of the sport.
