Kamran Akmal, the veteran Pakistani wicketkeeper, has declared his retirement from all forms of cricket, ahead of the 2023 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

He had earlier been appointed as the batting consultant for the Peshawar Zalmi team, led by Babar Azam, for the upcoming edition of PSL. The 41-year-old has expressed his interest in taking up managerial roles with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
