Question

Which planet has the highest number of moons?
  • Saturn
  • Venus
  • Mars
  • Jupiter
Answer- D
In the ongoing competition for the planet with the highest number of known moons in the Solar System, Jupiter has taken the lead once again after losing it to Saturn in 2019.

Astronomers have recently identified 12 previously unknown moons orbiting around Jupiter, the largest planet in our Solar System, bringing the total count to 92.

In comparison, Saturn has only been able to muster a measly count of 83 moons, putting it far behind Jupiter.

The newly discovered moons are currently unnamed, and their orbits have been recorded in the circulars of the International Astronomical Union’s Minor Planet Center, which maintains records of all the small bodies discovered in the Solar System.
