Antaris has announced that the first satellite in the world that was completely conceived, designed, and manufactured using the company’s end-to-end cloud platform is JANUS-1, and it has successfully reached orbit.
JANUS-1 was launched on the Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO) SSLV-D2 rocket. The satellite features five payloads from different global providers and will start its nominal operations after being commissioned.
The launch took place under a commercial agreement with New Space India Limited (NSIL) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in India.
