UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) has appointed Indian actor Ayushmann Khurrana as the National Ambassador of Child Rights in India.
He will work with UNICEF to ensure that every child's rights to life, health, and protection are guaranteed, while also promoting their voice and agency in matters that affect them.
Ayushmann previously served as a Celebrity Advocate for UNICEF India to prevent violence against children. In his new role, he will continue to uphold and defend children's rights, and recently collaborated with Sachin Tendulkar, Regional Ambassador for UNICEF South, to promote inclusion and non-discrimination through gender-inclusive sports on World Children's Day 2022.
