The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved Lalit Kumar Gupta as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Textile.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Gupta will assume the role of CMD with immediate effect for a period of five years or until his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever comes first. Gupta is currently the Director (Finance) at CCI and was recommended by the PESB panel for the CMD position.
