1)On January 27, 2022, the Tata Group officially acquired India's flag carrier, Air India, from the Indian government, almost 69 years after the conglomerate had sold it. The total value of the deal was Rs 18,000 crore (US$2.4 billion). As part of the strategic disinvestment transaction, the Indian government transferred its 100 per cent stake in Air India to Tata Sons, along with management control.
